PRP Facial and Hair Rejuvenation
What are PRP Treatments?
PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is the latest cutting edge technology in hair restoration and regrowth with numerous clinical studies supporting its safety and efficacy. Along with other medical hair loss therapies, PRP is one of the only treatments that uses the body’s natural repair mechanism to significantly improve hair regrowth and slow progression of hair thinning. PRP consists of growth factors, cytokines and bio-restorative molecules extracted from blood to stimulate hair follicle re-growth and thickening of existing hair with little down time.
The physician draws a small amount of blood and isolates the red cells from a platelet concentrate, embedded in its own plasma. The entire process takes less than 10 minutes.Since the PRP is processed from the patient’s own blood, there is no risk of allergy or rejection with this treatment. The extracted PRP is high in mesenchymal stem cells, and autologous blood products that contain essential and specific growth factors that assist in regeneration of the hair follicle and inhibition of further shedding.
It has also been shown in small studies to help thicken already existing hair. While there are no guarantees and every patient responds to treatment differently, PRP is an exciting, quick, non-surgical treatment with minimal down time and low risks or complications.
The PRP system we utilize is a dual-spin technology with a patented gel that allows better separation of red blood cells to produce a pure highly concentrated PRP free of cell contamination. Our PRP system produces an industry leading platelet-recovery yield, maintaining healthy platelets and thus resulting in maximum possible hair growth. Additionally, the tube uses an anticoagulant of more neutral pH, resulting in a more pain-free experience. Best of all, the process takes just minutes!
PRP Skin Rejuvenation
Similar to PRP hair restoration, this cutting-edge preventative and corrective therapy harnesses the body’s natural healing process for complete rejuvenation of the skin leading to improved texture, firmness and elasticity. Once extracted, the PRP is then either injected or micro-needled onto the skin surface. The growth factor and cytokine-rich PRP aids in regeneration of the skin cells resulting in renewed glowing skin. Dr. Mays will fully evaluate your skin tone and texture to determine the best technique for your PRP skin rejuvenations. Recommended every 3-4 weeks.
PRP Hair Restoration
The PRP system we utilize has shown to improve hair shaft length, increase hair density, and increase follicular units. The system's patented gel technology efficiently separates red blood cells from PRP and produces an industry leading platelet-recovery yield of 85 percent per unit volume, increasing its purity and minimizing injection discomfort. Best of all, our system was designed to be easy on our patients. The preparation process takes just a few minutes with as little as 10cc of blood draw. The result is a more efficacious and comfortable PRP experience.
Microneedling
The variable depth (.25mm to 2.5mm) of SkinPen and the cordless design provide significant versatility to create change in many areas of the body, including the face, neck, chest, arms, hands, legs, abdomen and back.
The actual procedure typically takes 30 minutes depending on the size and number of areas treated and the severity of damage on the skin and results in little to no downtime for the patient.SkinPen is a medical grade, state-of-the-art microneedling device designed to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and scars on the face and body.
It allows for controlled induction of the skin’s self-repair process by creating thousands of precise micro-injuries in the dermis, automatically triggering new collagen synthesis without causing scar tissue formation.
Chemical Peels
During a chemical peel, we safely and gently remove the outer layer of the skin, to help restore a new, healthy, even skin tone with an overall added glow.Chemical peels are a wonderful way to help reduce blotchy texture, uneven pigmentation, fine lines & wrinkles, age spots, sun spots, redness, superficial acne scarring and acne. They are an ideal way to improve the overall quality of skin with little to no down time.
Available Peels:
- Facial Peel
- Neck Peel
- Eye or Lip Peel
- Chest or Back Peel
- Other Anatomical Area
- TCA Strong Peel: Physician Performed Only
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure that is used to effectively treat and eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution (generally a salt solution) directly into the vein. The solution irritates the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to collapse and stick together and the blood to clot. The treatment is minimally invasive. The procedure also can improve related symptoms such as aching, swelling, burning and night cramps. The path to eliminating a spider vein or varicose vein problem begins at a consultation with a physician who specializes in vascular issues. After taking a medical history and conducting a physical exam, the doctor will determine whether a patient is a likely candidate for the procedure.

Vascular Laser
How does the KTP laser work?
Facial redness, broken capillaries and angiomas (red dots), rosacea and port wine stains can all be successfully treated with the KTP laser. The bright green laser light is absorbed selectively into shallow blood vessels which are gently headed to stimulate a repair process. Some blood vessels disappear on contact with the laser and those that do not immediately make take up to 4 weeks to fully resolve or require additional treatment. This process is quick, easy and an affordable option by comparison to other technologies currently available. Once vessels have become visible at the surface level, they will only be successfully treated with laser applications.

Photofacial
What to Expect After an Photofacial?
Immediately following your treatment, the treated areas will be pinkish red with slight swelling. The reddish coloring will typically dissipate within 24 hours. After the treatment, you may notice that sunspots and discoloration appear darker and slightly more prominent. This is normal and a good sign that the treatment is working.
Over the next few days, brown spots and other blemishes will begin to surface on the skin. The spots may raise and look like dark coffee grounds on the skin. These spots will naturally flake off over the following days.
What to Do After a Photofacial Treatment?
- Be sure to maintain moisture on the skin at all times. Apply a gentle moisturizer immediately following the treatment.
- Use a gentle cleanser with warm water, twice a day.
- Be consistent with sunscreen application. This may be the most important aspect of aftercare treatment. Use a sunscreen with at least a 30 SPF that protects against UVA and UVB rays.
- Two to three weeks after treatment, we highly recommend a Facial with Microdermabrasion for the treated areas. The Facial will hydrate and protect the treated areas, while the Microdermabrasion will further remove the dead skin cells revealing your healthy glowing skin.
What Not to Do After a Photofacial Treatment?
- Avoid unprotected sun exposure for at least 30 days after your Photofacial session. The skin is especially sensitive as it heals and re-damaging the skin is possible during this time.
- If possible, do not apply makeup immediately after the treatment. It is best to give the skin 12 hours of rest before putting products on the skin.
- Do not take a hot bath, hot shower, or bask in the hot tub for at least 48 hours. Warm showers are fine, but you do not want the skin to overheat while it recovers from the heat and light waves from the treatment.
- Avoid strenuous activity or exercise for 48 hours after the Photofacial session. Overheating the skin can reduce the positive effects of the treatment.
- Do not scratch or pick the skin during recovery. As blemishes surface, leave them be! They will flake off naturally. You do not want to create a scar where a brown spot once lived.
- Avoid any product or supplement high in Vitamin A, such as retinoic acid, glycolic acid, tretinoin (Retin-A), Accutane and alpha-hydroxy acids.
